'Green Arrow' Weeping Cedar (Chamaecyparis nootkatensis) is an exceptionally narrow, upright evergreen conifer that brings dramatic vertical structure to the landscape. Sometimes sold as 'Green Arrow' Weeping Alaskan Cedar or 'Green Arrow' Nootka Cypress, this distinctive selection features a strong central leader with graceful, pendulous branches that hug the trunk. Its dark green to blue-green foliage remains attractive throughout the year, making 'Green Arrow' an outstanding four-season specimen. The naturally slender, columnar form is especially valuable where horizontal space is limited, while the weeping branch structure gives the tree an elegant, almost architectural appearance. Plant several 'Green Arrow' trees together for a striking grove of narrow evergreen columns, or use a single specimen as an elegant vertical accent. Its unusual combination of extreme narrowness and weeping foliage makes it particularly effective when you want height without taking up much ground space.
