Shipping Policy
We are committed to carefully preparing and shipping your plants so they arrive in the best possible condition.
Important Shipping Note (Large Orders)
For larger or heavier plants (generally over 2-gallon size), shipping rates calculated at checkout may be higher than necessary. In many cases, we can:
- Provide a lower shipping rate, and/or
- Upgrade your order to UPS 3-Day Select at a discounted price
If your shipping total seems high, please contact us before completing your purchase, and we will gladly review options and, if applicable, send a custom invoice with adjusted shipping.
Processing Time
- Orders require 5–7 business days for processing before shipment
- This includes plant inspection, careful packaging, and order preparation
- If you need your order held for a specific date, you must contact us promptly via email or our Contact page with details. While we will do our best to accommodate requests, they are not guaranteed.
Shipping Methods & Transit Times
- We primarily ship via UPS Ground
- USPS Priority Mail is also available at checkout- this is best suited for shipments to HI and AK
- UPS 3-Day Select is available upon request (this must be requested before checkout)
Estimated Transit Times:
- UPS Ground: Typically 7–10 days (not guaranteed)
- USPS Priority Mail: Typically 3 business days, depending on location (not guaranteed)
Any shipping or delivery dates provided at checkout or after shipment are estimates only. We do not guarantee delivery by a specific date and are not responsible for delays once a package has been handed off to the carrier.
Weather & Plant Safety Disclaimer
Live plants are sensitive to environmental conditions, especially heat.
- Customers are responsible for considering weather conditions when selecting shipping methods
- During warmer months, choosing faster shipping (such as USPS Priority Mail or UPS 3-Day) is strongly recommended
- We are not responsible for plant stress or damage due to heat or transit time if a slower shipping method (UPS Ground) is selected when faster options are available

Shipping Schedule
- Orders typically ship Monday through Wednesday
- This schedule helps avoid plants being held in transit over weekends
Packaging & Multiple Items
- Each plant is shipped in its own individual box to ensure maximum protection
- We rarely combine shipments
If you are placing a large order and would like combined shipping, you must:
- Contact us before purchasing
- Request a custom shipping arrangement
- Receive a custom invoice if combining is possible
Shipping Cost Accuracy
We strive to provide accurate real-time shipping rates at checkout. However:
- If you have concerns about your shipping quote, please contact us before ordering
- We are happy to verify and adjust rates when possible
Order Accuracy
If anything about your order seems incorrect, please contact us right away, and we will work to resolve the issue.
Shipping Issues
If a package is lost or arrives visibly damaged, we can assist in filing a claim with the carrier.
Any reimbursement issued will be based solely on UPS’s claims process and determination. If a claim is approved, customers will receive the amount refunded by UPS for shipping costs only; this amount may not equal the original shipping charge and is not guaranteed.
Shipping Area
We currently ship within the United States only.
Carrier Responsibility
Once an order leaves our nursery and is in the possession of UPS, all responsibility for the shipment transfers to the carrier. We are not liable for shipping delays, lost packages, or damage that occurs during transit.
